II) Mobility / network

Avant-garde, especially free, freely improvising, instant-composing music has never been commercial (and this also applies to other art genres, the visual arts, dance, etc.). the smaller number of paid concerts, the lower fees, i.e. the lack of financial means, make it more difficult for artists to be mobile, to break free from the gravity of everyday life.

The small global family of independent creatives in particular would urgently need this mobility, because “practising in a quiet little room” doesn’t work at all in this profession.
the corona period has made it even clearer: a lockdown for free communicators has a catastrophic effect: emotionally, financially, musically, communicatively and intellectually.
this should be prevented in the future, so we should build a functioning network that benefits all creatives and gives them the opportunity to “set off at any time”!
