Udo Preis MASTERMIND

Try the stairs!

Udo Preis is caught between two stools.” – What a load of rubbish. Everyone who knows Udo knows that Udo doesn’t sit. – Udo is standing. On his own two feet. He hasn’t made himself comfortable on an armchair. Udo is not sitting on the left or right armchair. Udo is not sitting, he is standing. You can stand by your opinion – but you can’t sit by your opinion. Anyone who sits on a chair, left or right, is motionless. Udo stands by his opinion, but he is prepared to spend his whole life learning. Udo is an artist, a wonderful person. Udo listens to other opinions – and if they seem right to him, he accepts them. If he recognises them as wrong, then he listens, does not interrupt, does not defame, does not condemn. Udo does not sit on a chair that others hold out to him. Udo knows that the chair that is on the left today could be on the right from a different perspective. Try the stairs. Place your chair on the left-hand side of a staircase. Then go upstairs and turn round: Look down: where is your chair now?

Do you understand?

And for Udo, LIMMITATIONES and FREE FORMS OF ARTS are about open communication with oneself, with and among others, with and in the midst of all creation on the basis of mutual acceptance, comprehensive goodwill, radical honesty and with the knowledge that we are and will all remain truth-seeking children in infinity until the end of our lives.
And for Udo, the RESPECT platform is about the restoration of constitutionally guaranteed rights, pluralistic freedom of discourse within the framework of the laws that were valid before February 2020 and the possibility of shaping our individual lives SELF-DETERMINED again in accordance with the RESPECT principles.

Laudatio by Walter Schönthaler.
