Yi-Wei Yang is a Taipei-based Zheng player trained in classical and modern Chinese music, as well as traditional Taiwanese Beiguan and Nanguan, and free improvisational music. Currently, she is focusing on exploring the relationship between music and dance through improvisation, while incorporating experimental zheng technique and unorthodox textures.

Pavel Zlámal BRNO

Clarinetist, saxophonist, improviser, composer based in Brno. In addition to his education in classical music, he mostly focuses on contemporary, experimental and improvised music. He works with a wide range of musical practices and tendencies - from jazz, freejazz, through contemporary aestetics, to the sound experiments and free improvisation.

I consider free improvisation to be a complex art. In the speech of improvisers, all knowledge, skills, experience and human character come together. Quality improvisation requires a mature and creative artist who can suppress his ego, help create a collective work and who respects the aesthetics of the improvisational community. Improvising with such artists fills me with immense happiness.
